Nelson Suter Art Society

to promote and encourage the cultivation and production of work in the visual arts

Jane Smith

I use watercolour, as I love the luminosity, and at times, unpredictability, of the paint.

We live in a beautiful region, with many lovely vistas. I never tire of painting them in their different lights.

I also love to paint my “comfortable people” in their everyday activities.

I paint, because I need to!

I call; my work “domestic art”; and it is meant to make the viewer “smile”.

I have been in many group exhibitions around the country, and have had several “solos” over more than 30 years of painting.

I continue to do commissions for ‘thems wot want them’.

I work from my studio at home, in the Tasman village, and have a website…
