Nelson Suter Art Society
to promote and encourage the cultivation and production of work in the visual arts
Capturing light and mood, getting people to notice places and things that we often take for granted , I strive to create paintings that capture the way I see the world.
I work in both watercolour and acrylic , and am working towards a “less is more” philosophy of painting – leaving space for the viewer to enjoy the mysteries of slightly abstract details!
We moved to St.Arnaud from Wellington eight years ago, and now I work full time from my studio at 10 Rangeview Rd, which is open to visitors. I also run watercolour workshops and am happy to discuss commissions .
My work is held in private collections both in New Zealand and overseas.
I have held regular solo exhibitions, currently I am a member of both the Suter Gallery , Watercolour NZ and Marlborough Art Society.
