In my artwork I have gone from drawing and painting portraits to working loosely, using larger brushes to create more abstract paintings. Using oil on Gladstone (transparent paper) was very satisfying for me as the oil paint would glide over the paper making it easy to apply. Also overlapping two or three images gives an interesting effect.
I am now exploring something very different using postage stamps. Postage stamps often reflect a country's culture showing colourful, indigenous birds, flowers and fruit or depicting people of importance. I am creating minimalistic designs thus preserving postage stamps and also creating a design that is pleasing to the eye.
I am a relatively late bloomer in developing my creativity in painting, and art is now my passion in life.
